Storefront Not Updating

What to check when changes you made in the builder are not showing up on your live storefront.

If you made changes in the page builder but your live storefront looks the same, work through these checks in order. Most cases are resolved by the first two.

1. Check that you published, not just saved

The builder saves changes as a draft automatically. Drafts are not visible to customers. You must click Publish (or Save & Publish) in the toolbar to make changes live.

The toolbar shows "Saved" when a draft is current and "Published" when the live version matches the draft. If you only see "Saved", click Publish.

2. Hard refresh your browser

Your browser may be showing a cached version of the page. Press:

  • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
  • Windows / Linux: Ctrl + Shift + R or F5

This forces the browser to reload without the cache.

3. Confirm you are on the right URL

Sellrn has two storefront URLs — the hosted slug URL and your custom domain. Changes publish to both simultaneously, but confirm you are looking at the right one:

  • Hosted URL: sellrn.com/s/your-slug
  • Custom domain: yourstore.com (if connected)

If you edited a specific page (e.g. the About page), navigate to that page's URL directly rather than refreshing the homepage.

4. Check the page's publish status

Individual pages can be set to Draft or Published. A published page with unpublished changes shows the old content until you publish the changes.

Go to Dashboard → Pages and check the status badge next to the page name. If it says "Draft", the page is not publicly accessible at all — click it, open the builder, and click Publish.

5. Check catalog mode

If you made changes to the cart, checkout, or product pages and they seem missing or different, check whether Catalog mode is enabled. When catalog mode is on, the cart and checkout are replaced with enquiry CTAs.

Go to Settings → General and look for the Catalog mode toggle.

6. Wait for CDN propagation

If you recently connected a custom domain, DNS and CDN changes can take a few minutes (and occasionally up to an hour) to propagate globally. Your storefront will update — it just needs a moment.

Still stuck?

If none of the above resolves it, try opening the storefront in a private / incognito window to rule out browser-specific caching. If the private window shows the updated content but your normal browser does not, clear your browser cache for sellrn.com.
