Translating Pages

Once you have added languages to your store, you can translate each page either manually using the Page Builder's translation mode, or automatically using Sellrn's AI translator.

Opening translation mode

1. Open any page in the Page Builder.
2. In the top toolbar, click the language selector dropdown (it shows your default language by default).
3. Select the language you want to translate into.
4. The canvas switches to translation mode. A yellow banner appears to remind you that you are editing a translation, not the original.

How translation mode works

In translation mode, only text fields are editable — layout, images, and structure are inherited from the default language and cannot be changed here. This ensures all language versions of a page have consistent layout.

Text that has not yet been translated is shown with a grey underline. Translated text appears in the normal colour. The translation progress bar in the toolbar shows how much of the page is done.

AI translation

To translate the entire page at once:

1. Switch to the target language in the toolbar.
2. Click Translate all with AI (the magic wand icon next to the language selector).
3. The AI translates every text field on the page into the target language. This takes 5–15 seconds depending on page length.
4. Review the results — AI translation is high quality but may need tweaking for brand-specific terms or tone.
5. Click Save.

Translating individual bricks

To translate a single brick rather than the whole page, select the brick and click Translate brick in the Inspector panel. This translates only that brick's text fields.

Manually editing translations

Click any text field in translation mode and type the translated text directly. Changes are saved per language — editing the French translation never affects the English original.

Publishing translated pages

Each language version is published separately. A page in English can be live while the French translation is still a draft. In the Pages list, each row shows a language badge indicating which translations are published.

Untranslated pages

If a visitor navigates to a page that has no translation in their active language, Sellrn falls back to the default language version. No error page is shown. You can change this behaviour in Settings → Languages → Fallback behaviour to either show the default language or display a "not available in your language" message.
