Going Live
How to disable maintenance mode, switch Stripe to live payments, and make your Sellrn storefront publicly accessible.
"Going live" means turning off maintenance mode so the public can visit your storefront, and switching Stripe from test payments to real payments. This is a one-way switch — do it only when you are ready.
Before you flip the switch
Complete the Launch checklist (Dashboard → Launch checklist). The checklist blocks the "Go live" button until critical items — Stripe live mode, at least one published product, and a published homepage — are complete.
Step 1 — Switch Stripe to live mode
- Go to Settings → Payments.
- Click Switch to live mode next to your Stripe connection.
- Stripe will confirm that your account is verified. If not, follow the prompts to complete Stripe's identity and bank verification.
Step 2 — Disable maintenance mode
- Go to Settings → Storefront.
- Find the Maintenance mode toggle and switch it to Off.
- Click Save. Your storefront is now publicly accessible.
Alternatively, click the Go live button at the top of the Launch checklist — it completes both steps in sequence.
Step 3 — Verify the live storefront
- Open your store URL in a private / incognito browser window (so you are not logged in as the owner).
- Browse to a product and add it to the cart.
- Complete a checkout with a real card. Check that the order appears in Dashboard → Orders and that you receive the order confirmation email.
- Immediately issue a refund via the Stripe Dashboard if needed.
After going live
- Announce it — email your waitlist, post on social media, or run a launch discount.
- Monitor orders — Dashboard → Orders shows all incoming orders in real time.
- Check analytics — Dashboard → Analytics shows visitor traffic and conversion rate.
Going back to maintenance mode
You can re-enable maintenance mode at any time from Settings → Storefront. This is useful for major site updates or if you need to temporarily stop taking orders. Customers will see your maintenance message instead of the storefront.
Payments are not affected by maintenance mode — pending orders continue to process normally even while the storefront is hidden.
Custom maintenance page
To customise what visitors see during maintenance mode, design a page in the Page Builder and assign it as the Maintenance page in Settings → Storefront. By default Sellrn shows a branded "Coming soon" message with your store name.
