SEO & Meta Settings
How to set page titles, meta descriptions, Open Graph images, and structured data for every page in your Sellrn storefront.
SEO settings control how your storefront pages appear in Google, Bing, and social media previews. Good SEO meta helps search engines understand your content and drives more organic traffic to your store.
Opening page SEO settings
In the Page Builder, click anywhere on the canvas background (not on a brick) to deselect everything. The Inspector panel switches to Page settings. Scroll to the SEO section.
Title tag
The title tag is the text shown in browser tabs and as the headline in Google search results. Best practices:
- Keep it under 60 characters (longer titles are truncated in search results).
- Put the most important keyword near the start.
- Include your brand name at the end, separated by a dash (e.g. "Women's Dresses — Atem Goods").
- Every page should have a unique title.
Sellrn auto-populates the title from the page name if you leave this blank, but setting it manually gives you full control.
Meta description
The meta description is the snippet shown under the title in search results. It does not directly affect rankings but strongly affects click-through rate. Best practices:
- Keep it under 155 characters.
- Describe what the page offers and include a call to action (e.g. "Shop our new arrivals…").
- Include your primary keyword naturally.
Open Graph (social sharing)
Open Graph tags control the preview card shown when someone shares a link on Instagram, Twitter / X, Facebook, WhatsApp, or Slack.
- OG Title — defaults to the page title. Override if you want a different headline for social vs. search.
- OG Description — defaults to the meta description.
- OG Image — the preview image. Upload a 1200 × 630 px image. This is the single most impactful change you can make to your social sharing appearance.
Canonical URL
If the same content is accessible via multiple URLs (e.g. with and without trailing slash, or paginated collections), set a canonical URL to tell search engines which version is the "original". Sellrn sets canonicals automatically for standard pages — only override if you have a specific reason.
Structured data (JSON-LD)
Sellrn automatically generates JSON-LD structured data for product pages (Product schema), collection pages (ItemList), and the homepage (Organization). This enables rich results in Google (star ratings, price ranges, breadcrumbs).
To add custom structured data, use Settings → Advanced → Custom JSON-LD. Paste your schema markup and Sellrn injects it into the page head.
Sitemap and robots.txt
Sellrn auto-generates:
yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml— all published pages, products, and collections. Submit this to Google Search Console.yourdomain.com/robots.txt— allows all crawlers by default. Override inSettings → SEO → Robots.txt if you need to block specific paths.
Checking your SEO setup
After going live, submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and run a URL inspection to confirm Google can crawl and index your pages.
