Shipping in Sellrn is organised around zones — groups of countries or regions — each with their own set of shipping rates. A customer's shipping options at checkout are determined by their delivery address matching a zone.

Opening shipping settings

Go to Dashboard → Settings → Shipping. You will see a list of your current shipping zones (empty if you have not set any up yet).

Creating a shipping zone

  1. Click Add zone.
  2. Give the zone a name (e.g. "Domestic", "Europe", "Rest of world").
  3. Select the countries or regions this zone covers. You can add entire continents, select individual countries, or — for the US, Canada, and Australia — specific states/provinces.
  4. Click Add rate to add a shipping rate to this zone.

Types of shipping rates

Rate typeHow it works
Flat rateA fixed amount per order (e.g. £3.99).
Free shippingNo charge. You can add a minimum order value to qualify.
Weight-basedRate scales with the total weight of the cart. Requires product weights to be set.
Price-basedDifferent rates for different cart value bands (e.g. under £50 → £4.99, over £50 → free).

Free shipping threshold

The most common configuration is a flat rate below a threshold plus free shipping above it:

  1. Add a Flat rate with price £3.99 and leave "Minimum order value" empty.
  2. Add a Free shipping rate with a minimum order value of £50.

At checkout, Sellrn shows both options when the cart is under £50, and only "Free shipping" when it is at or above £50. Customers always see the cheapest option first.

Local pickup

To offer in-store collection, add a rate and choose Local pickup as the type. Enter a pickup address. The checkout will show this as an option alongside your shipping rates.

Rest of world fallback

Create a zone called "Rest of world" and select All other countries. Any customer whose country is not covered by another zone will fall back to this zone. Without a fallback zone, customers from uncovered countries will not see a shipping option and cannot complete checkout.

Shipping vs. billing address

Shipping zones are matched against the shipping address the customer enters at checkout (not billing). Tax, if configured separately, is calculated from the shipping address too.
